Hoping for a better year
Welcoming the new year with the usual fireworks and LOUD firecrackers so loud that they set of car alarms, Manila just entered the year 2010. Filipinos, ever the positive thinker and always having that smile even in the midst of disasters, are hoping that the year 2010 would be a better one. After the tragedies that beset this country where hundreds of lives were lost, the country is now preparing for its first ever automated election with the fervent hope of this time electing a leader that would truly bring about the change that the people are looking for.
